"Oat - rageous"!

Category: Recipes

There are some basics for a face mask. Firstly it needs to have the ability to cleanse the pores in your skin, it should tone, and it should nourish.

One ingredient that is often forgotten is oatmeal.Whirl 1/2 cup of raw oats (organic would be the best choice) in a blender or food processor until it is almost like a flour. Now you can add 1-2 tsp of oat-flour to your favorite mask recipe.

Oatmeal makes a good moisturizing pack. Besides being a staple food, oatmeal has marvelous properties as a facial beauty treatment. It is rich in vitamin E and reputed to have anti-aging activity. An oatmeal mask supplies more vitamin E than any other facial cream, so is worth trying!

Now oatmeal is good for you from the OutsideIN too!

Here is a quick recipe for all skin types. It is a very simple mask that takes advantage of the cleansing and softening properties of oats and the hydrating properties of honey. It also helps clear up blackheads.

Oatmeal Honey Face Mask
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons whole oats (process into flour for smoother texture)
2 tablespoons liquid honey

Combine ingredients in a bowl and stir well. Apply to clean face and let sit for 15 minutes. Rinse well with warm water.

The Power of Gratitude

What an awesome gem I've found to share with you!

More and more people have read or watched The Secret. My background is in mainstream religion and for several decades in a very conservative direction. I can see how through the centuries we continue to grow in our understanding of God and that understanding has taken on many faces - not all of them positive.

Fortunately, we are learning and growing in our understanding and, I believe, learning from those past mis-understandings.

I learn a lot about my life as I reflect and write what I am grateful for in a journal, along with my intentions for my life and how I want it to be.

I am really thrilled to have found this wonderful article!
My wish is for it to bring joy into your day and with it a better quality of life from the OutsideIN !
